New Menu at Fantasy Faire Food Truck

Beginning this week, the Fantasy Fare food truck will debut a brand-new menu in its new location in the Marketplace at Disney Springs, located between Basin and World of Disney. Beyond dishing up a new fare, the location will continue to serve walk-up guests and will begin running food to guests visiting Dockside Margaritas.

One of the new additions is Picadillo Beef Empanadas, featuring hand stuffed ground beef in fried, crispy pastry dough, topped with fresh salsa, sour cream, and guacamole:

With Peruvian style shrimp and tilapia ceviche, topped queso fresco, red cabbage and lime sour crème, the Ceviche Tacos are a fresh addition to the menu:

The Chicken Taquitos feature classic flavors all rolled into one: Adobe braised chicken in a fried corn tortilla that is tossed in tomatillo sauce, topped with queso fresco and pico de gallo:

The final new menu addition is the Mexican Meatballs Sliders, which are a blend of chorizo and beef meatballs, tossed in a sofrito sauce and topped with Oaxaca cheese and pico de gallo:

Expanded Party for the Planet coming to Animal Kingdom

Every year, Disney’s Animal Kingdom celebrates Earth Day and the park’s anniversary with Party for the Planet, a celebration where guests can find extra opportunities to explore the natural wonders of Disney’s Animal Kingdom park, thanks to a variety of enhanced park offerings, including interactive activities, entertainment, enhanced animal encounters, commemorative photo options and merchandise.

In 2018, Disney will greatly expand this event in both number of days it is offered and in the overall number of experiences for guests.

Events getting added to the lineup this year include:

•New menu items at festival booths all over the park
•Character dance parties
•New backstage tours of Rafiki’s Planet Watch and animal care facilities
•“Tiffins Talks” – meals at Tiffins offering a chance to learn about the park and its animals

The event will begin on April 22nd, 2018.

Pro Bowl Events Coming to ESPN Wide World of Sports

The Walt Disney World Resort is excited to welcome the NFL and its legion of devoted fans coming to Central Florida for the action-packed excitement of Pro Bowl week, celebrating all levels of football from youth to high school to the NFL’s best.

As the venue for the AFC and NFC team practices and many of the Pro Bowl Week festivities, Walt Disney World Resort is delighted to play a supporting role with Orlando in what will be a great win for Central Florida and sports fans.
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will host the team’s practices as well as multiple football competitions and activities, which are the perfect fit for the sports complex given that it hosts youth and NFL events, such as the Pop Warner Super Bowl, the Gruden QB Camp and the Tom Shaw Performance Camp.

Here is a quick view of what’s going on across property during Pro Bowl week. All events at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex are free and open to the public:

Kringla Bakeri og Kafe Closure Announced

The School Bread experience at Epcot's Norway Pavilion.

From early February through summer 2018, Kringla Bakeri og Kafe (a quick-service location found in the Norway pavilion at Epcot) will undergo a refurbishment to expand and enhance the location. Midnattsol Bakeri, a food and beverage quick-service kiosk, will be added to the promenade in Norway during the refurbishment. A selection of items from the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe menu will be available, including Guest favorites like the Norwegian school bread and lefsa.
Midnattsol Bakeri will mirror Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe’s current operating hours (9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.) and will serve pastries such as kransekake, cupcakes and chocolate pretzels, as well as entree items such as the Viking Dog and Club sandwich. Most items will be available as a snack entitlement with the Disney Dining Plan.
