*EXTRA* Extra Magic Hours Added at Animal Kingdom

For a limited time, guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels will be able to enjoy more days with an Extra Magic Hour to access the most popular experiences at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, including Avatar – Flight of Passage, Na’vi River Journey, Expedition Everest, DINOSAUR, and Triceratops Spin. This benefit is available to guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels select days April 29-June 30.

Kilimanjaro Safaris will not be available on these additional Extra Magic Hour Days, but it will continue to be part of the standard Extra Magic Hour offerings, generally on Mondays and Saturdays.

Jeff Vahle Promoted to President of Disney Signature Experiences

Bob Chapek, the chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Consumer Products, has named Jeff Vahle as the new president of Disney Signature Experiences.

Vahle began his career with Disney at Walt Disney World in 1990.

As president, Vahle will oversee Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Adventures by Disney, Golden Oak, and Aulani, a Disney Resort in Hawaii.

Vahle currently leads the Global Facilities Operations and Sourcing and Procurement teams, and will continue to oversee those departments as well.

About his new role, Vahle said:

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to be part of an incredible team that makes magic for millions of guests every day at Disney destinations around the world. I look forward to leading this creative, dedicated and hardworking team as we build on the success of these businesses during this unprecedented era of growth and innovation.

 

Fairfax Fare to Test Breakfast Service

From Sunday, April 22 to Saturday, May 5, Fairfax Fare will be testing a breakfast menu at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. At this quick-service location found on Sunset Boulevard, park guests will be able to enjoy the following breakfast items (menu subject to change without notice and based on availability):

• Hot oatmeal and fresh berries with brown sugar and maple glaze
• Loaded scrambled eggs with chorizo, peppers, onions and potatoes
• “Breakfast on a Bun” with eggs, ham, swiss and spinach on an herb cheese-smeared onion roll
• Freshly-baked pastry basket featuring miniature baked goods
• Fresh fruit
• Yogurt
• Toasted bagels
• Assorted beverages
• Kids’ scrambled eggs and potatoes

As a reminder, Fairfaxe Fare‘s regular lunch menu will be served starting at 11:30 a.m.

Special Universal Ticket Offer for Florida Residents

Universal Orlando is offering Florida residents a great deal on a four pack of tickets from now until April 30.
Rather than shelling out $260 for a season pass, Florida residents can now buy a pack of four tickets for $165 for single park passes, or $205 for two park passes. That works out to right around $41 or $51 a day.

The nice thing about these tix is they don’t need to be used on consecutive days, and are valid until June 28. It’s a pretty quick turn around to go to Universal four times, but ideal if you have family or friends visiting town.

There are also no blackout dates on these tickets.

Universal is also giving ticket holders the option to upgrade these tickets to  a season pass for $16 a month after these run out.
