Disney Introduces New Ticket Add On Option

On February 11, the Walt Disney World Resort introduced a new Water Park and Sports Option that guests can add on to their theme park tickets to enjoy some fun in the sun, get in the game at the NBA Experience, and enjoy other offerings during their visit!

The Water Park and Sports Option, available for $70 plus tax, allows guests to choose from one of the following locations for each day of their ticket:

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

NBA Experience

ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course (greens fees only)

FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course

Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (prior to 4:00 p.m.)

Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course (prior to 4:00 p.m.)

The total number of admissions guests receive with this option is based on the length of their theme park ticket. For example, a 3-day ticket allows three visits to these locations.

The Water Park and Sports Option can be added to theme park tickets and is available for purchase at any theme park or water park ticket window, NBA Experience, Guest Relations, Disney Springs, Disney Resort front desks, Disney Planning Center location, as well as through DisneyWorld.com, the My Disney Experience app, the Disney Reservation Center, or authorized travel professionals and ticket sellers.

NOTE: All tickets and options are nontransferable and nonrefundable and exclude activities/events separately priced. Water Parks subject to rehabilitation, seasonal and weather closures. Tee times are required for Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course and are subject to availability. FootGolf is available every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday after 2:30 PM, subject to availability. Miniature Golf valid for one round. Round must start prior to 4:00PM. Only one miniature golf visit per day. ESPN Wide World of Sports admission valid only on event days; some events require an additional admission charge; there are no events on certain days; days and hours of operation of concessions, venues and attractions vary.

Epcot Character & Entertainment Confirmed for 2020

Just a few hours ago, the Walt Disney World Resort confirmed that many of the popular entertainment offerings available at Epcot will continue to be available to guests in 2020. While the majority of these shows and character greeting locations have been around for years, a lot of entertainment offerings were recently removed at the Walt Disney World Resort, so the following schedule will reassure you that many of your favorite shows will still be available next year.

FUTURE WORLD:

SHOW: JAMMitors extended at least through November 26, 2020 with show times at 9:20 a.m., 10:10 a.m., 11:10 a.m., 12:10 p.m., 1:35 p.m., 2:35 p.m., 3:35 p.m. Thursday-Monday.

NOTE: For the week ending on January 4, 2020, this entertainment offering will not be available on Thursday and Friday.

A redesigned My Disney Experience app is now available to Android users. The app now offers an even faster, more intuitive way for guests to navigate their way through a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. The app opens directly to the park map, with posted attraction wait times. With an easy swipe up on the guest icon, the app displays the next Resort, dining or FastPass+ reservation, making it easier for guests to navigate their way to creating even more memories.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR ANDROID USERS:

How do I sign out of the redesigned My Disney Experience app?

To sign out of the My Disney Experience app, simply swipe up on Character > Select My Account > Sign Out in upper right hand corner.

How do I access My Plans on My Disney Experience 4.0?

To access My Plans, swipe up on your Character to access the Dashboard then scroll down to view My Plans. Here the next available plan will display, whether that is dining, resort or FastPass+.

Here you will also find any Cast Member notes added and non-bookable itinerary notes.

Within the My Plans section of the Dashboard, select a plan to view more details about that plan, such as modifying or canceling a dining reservation or FastPass+ selection.

Select View All Plans to view the full itinerary of all plans.

Does the redesigned My Disney Experience app feature past plans?

Guests are unable to access past plans with this version of the app; however, guests may still access past plans on the desktop site for up to 14 days.

How do I access wait times?

Wait times will appear immediately upon opening the mobile app in map view. When switching to list view, wait times will list from lowest to longest wait. Experiences that are closed for refurbishment or temporarily closed will appear at the bottom of the list.

How do I refresh my Dashboard?

With the redesigned My Disney Experience mobile app, My Plans will automatically refresh every 15 minutes. This version of the app will also refresh upon leaving the page and returning.

When viewing on the All My Plans screen, guests may pull down to refresh the screen and plans.

Where does the main menu appear in the redesigned app?

The redesigned app has a new Dashboard found through a simple swipe up on the character icon at the bottom of the screen. The home screen includes all functionalities of the previous main menu.

How do I search in the My Disney Experience app?

Upon opening the app, select the magnifying glass in the upper left corner of the screen.

How do I buy tickets on the My Disney Experience app?

From the home screen, scroll down to the Park Info & Entry section, and then select Buy Tickets.

Where do notifications appear in the redesigned app?

The Notifications feature that alerts you of family and friends wishing to connect with your account has been removed. Notifications will pop up now as you click through to the family and friends screen.

What is Spotlight?

This is a new section that highlights other WDPR apps, such as Shop Disney Parks, or experiences.

Princess Elena Meet & Greet Coming to Magic Kingdom

Beginning Thursday, November 24, Princess Elena of Avalor will greet Guests in Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom.  Guests will be able to choose between a visit with Elena and Cinderella or Rapunzel and Tiana.

FastPass+ reservations for dates that include Elena appearances are available in My Disney Experience. Several times daily throughout the fall, Elena will also join Cinderella during the “Princess Elena Royal Welcome” on the castle stage.

FROZEN GETS OPENING DATE IN EPCOT

Mark your calendars JUNE 21 is the date both the Frozen Ever After attraction and the Royal Sommerhaus Meet & Greet open in the Norway Pavilion in Epcot.

Fastpass Booking Time Change

Disney-FastPass-logo-1024x274Effective today, May 18th, your booking window (at 60 or 30 days) is no longer open at midnight on the date.

With no advance warning, Disney has changed this window to 7am est on your eligible date. The reasoning is that no cm’s were available for assistance if anyone had problems booking after business hours. Please note this change & plan accordingly.
