Starting February 27, 2020, guests will have a new Dining Plan Option when booking their Walt Disney World Resort hotel package. The all-new “Disney Dining Plan Plus” takes everything guests love about the Disney Dining Plan and adds even more flexibility.

Disney Dining Plan Plus is a brand-new Disney dining plan option only available as part of a Disney Resort hotel package.

This new plan allows guests to redeem their two meals each day in any combination of either Table Service, Quick Service, or Character Dining, or a combination.

In addition, a Disney Dining Plan Plus package includes two snacks per night, one Disney Resort hotel refillable drink mug (which can be used at any Disney Resort hotel quick-service locations), and at each meal, unlimited refills of fountain sodas, single-service teas and brewed coffee, or one specialty non-alcoholic beverage, or for Guests 21 and older with valid ID, one beer, wine or cocktail. Meals can be redeemed in any order and in any combination.

Unused meals or snacks rollover day to day so Guests can use them whenever they want during their stay.

Guests can start using the Disney Dining Plan Plus as soon as February 28, 2020.

Taste Track Update

The Electric Umbrella restaurant is expected to close in the coming weeks at Epcot, leaving Future World East without a quick-service location for the foreseeable future.

While the restaurant is closed to receive a completely new look and an updated menu, a temporary kiosk will open near Test Track during the Festival of the Arts, offering some of the menu items guests can currently find at the Electric Umbrella.

The new Taste Track Burgers and Fries kiosk will offer burgers and salads. The full menu should be available soon.

Breakfast Coming to Friar’s Nook

Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom Park from December 20, 2019 to January 4, 2020 will be able to head over to The Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland to try some tasty breakfast offerings:
  • Breakfast Sandwich – Bacon, egg, and cheddar served on a multigrain croissant with tater tots
  • Cinnamon Sugar Donuts – Donut holes covered in cinnamon sugar
  • Sausage and Gravy tots – Side of tater tots served with sausage gravy

New Food Offerings Coming to Disney Springs

First of all, the Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet food truck will debut this month, serving up edible cookie dough treats and tasty sweets.

Take a peek at the planned menu below:

•Springs Candy Taco – Candy Monster Cookie Dough, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry served in a waffle taco

•Minnie Mouse Taco – Peanut Butter Fluff Cookie Dough, caramel sauce, whipped cream, a cherry, and a chocolate Minnie bow served in a waffle taco

•Celebration Parfait – Celebration Cookie Dough with Celebration Mickey cake, vanilla custard, strawberries, whipped cream, and a cherry

•Mickey or Minnie Funnel Cake – funnel cake topped with powdered sugar and Mickey or Minnie-shaped cookie dough

•Cookie Dough Cup or Cone – Flavors include Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Fluff, Celebration, Cookies and Cream, Candy Monster, and Cold Brew

This new cookie dough-themed food truck will open later this month and will be parked near the other food trucks across from Candy Cauldron at Disney Springs West Side.

Sunshine-Churro

In the Marketplace and West Side, Sunshine Churro will open this month serving gourmet churros with flavors like watermelon, salted caramel, strawberry cheesecake, fruity cereal, and cookies and cream.

Finally, Ample Hills Creamery will be opening a brand new location at Disney Springs West Side.

The new location will offer their popular handcrafted ice cream and mix-ins (like brownie bites, oatmeal lace cookies and butter pecan brittle) similar to the offerings available at the Ample Hills Creamery located at Disney’s BoardWalk.

New Menu at Refreshment Outpost

Starting June 21, guests visiting the Refreshment Outpost at Epcot will find an updated menu.

This seems like a positive change, as guests will finally be able to find an African specialty at this location.

New Food Truck Opens at Disney Springs Today

The newest addition to the West Side food trucks is bringing bring over-the-top macaroni and cheese meals to Disney Springs.

Here’s the full list of food options that will be available at this new location:

•Six Cheese Crunchy Mac & Cheese

•Barbecue Brisket Mac & Cheese

•Bacon Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese

•Chicken Parmesan Mac & Cheese

•Lobster and Shrimp Mac & Cheese

Located in Exposition Park, the Mac & Cheese Truck will be the perfect spot to enjoy a meal after a long day of shopping or a fun night of live music.

The new truck will operate from 12-11p.m. on Friday, March 29; all other days, the location will follow this operating schedule:

•Mon.-Thu. 5-11 p.m.

•Fri. 3-11 p.m.

•Sat.-Sun. 12-11 p.m.

As an opening day promotion, Guests who show the promotional social media post on Twitter will receive $3 off each entrée.

Over the next few weeks, multiple Disney Springs restaurants will close earlier than usual on select dates due to special events. Be sure to take a look at this list if you are planning on dining at a specific location in the near future:
Monday, March 25
Enzo’s Hideaway – Last seating took take place at 3:00 p.m. Location will not reopen after the event.
Tuesday, March 26
House of Blues – Last seating will take place at 4:00 p.m. Location will not reopen after the event.
The Smokehouse –  Last seating will take place at 4:00 p.m. Location will not reopen after the event.
Sunday, March 31
Morimoto Street Foods – An event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Location will open at 5:00 p.m.
Friday, April 5
Planet Hollywood – Last seating will take place at 3:00 p.m. Location will not reopen after the event.
Tuesday, April 9
House of Blues – Last seating will take place at 4:00 p.m. Location will not reopen after the event.

Paddlefish Lounge – Closed all day for private event.

Mizner’s Lounge to Close for Refurbishment

Mizner’s Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will undergo renovation in the coming months; as a result, the location will be closed for refurbishment beginning in April (no exact date has been announced yet).

As part of this renovation project, Mizner’s Lounge will expand into the nearby space of Commander Porter’s, which will permanently close at the end of business on April 4, 2019. Men’s apparel and offerings found in Commander Porter’s will temporarily be available at various merchandise locations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Construction will begin at Summer Lace in April to transform the space into a home for both Women’s and Men’s apparel. No closure of Summer Lace is anticipated at this time.

To ensure that guests still have a grand experience during this time, the following changes will be implemented after the closure of the lounge:

The Mizner’s Lounge bar service will move to the first-floor lobby area next to Garden View Tea Room. The temporary lounge location will serve classic cocktails and elegant beverages, as well as light snacks.

While at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, guests may also visit Cítricos Lounge for additional cocktail, beverage and appetizer offerings.

The Grand Floridian Society Orchestra will also move to a new location within the main lobby area for Guests to enjoy live jazz standards and popular Disney tunes.
